Children 14 and under can ride with us free of charge when they're with an adult paying the fare. If you are 14 and under and riding alone, remember to get your pass so you can travel.

Transfers
After paying your fare with cash, please request a paper transfer from the operator. Your transfer gives you 60-minutes of unlimited travel on any route except the route you boarded and obtained your transfer. When you board your next bus/route, scan the barcode on your transfer at the fare box. Keep your transfer in a safe place so you don't lose it.
When using an electronic disposable or reloadable smart pass (example, a Multi-Ride pass), transfers are automatically calculated and provide 60-minutes of unlimited travel on any route except the route you boarded and obtained your transfer.
Monthly and Affordable Monthly Passes have unlimited transfers.
Once your transfer is expired, you will need to pay a new fare. In the event that you experience a problem, pay your fare and contact us at 613-546-0000, making note of the four-digit bus number, date, and time of the event.

Register your reloadable pass in person
To load your pass online, you must register first your reloadable transit pass at:
- City Hall Payment Centre, 216 Ontario St., Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Cataraqui Centre Guest Services Desk, 945 Gardiners Rd., seven days a week during mall operating hours.
Print the Transit Card Registration form and submit it in person for faster service.
Depending on which pass option you are getting, you may also need to bring:
- Proof of age for a senior (65+) or youth (15 to 24) rate.
- Your Municipal Fee Assistance Program card with expiry date for an Affordable Transit Pass.
Lost or stolen passes
If your registered reloadable transit pass was lost or stolen, report it to us right away at 613-546-0000. We will deactivate your old pass and transfer your balance to a new one. You can get your new card at City Hall Payment Centre or Cataraqui Centre Guest Services Desk.
A $3 replacement card fee applies.
