Transfers
To get a transfer, pay your fare by cash and request one from the bus operator. Your transfer gives you 90 minutes of unlimited travel.
When you use your smart card or a disposable ticket, transfers are automatically added to your trip.
Monthly and Affordable Monthly Passes have unlimited transfers.
Once your transfer expires, you will need to pay a new fare. If you experience a problem, pay your fare and contact Customer Service at 613-546-0000. You will be asked to provide the four-digit bus number, date, and time the issue occurred.
Important: Transfers can only be used by the customer they were issued to.

Register your reloadable pass in person
To load your pass online, you must register first your reloadable transit pass at:
- City Hall Payment Centre, 216 Ontario St., Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Cataraqui Centre Guest Services Desk, 945 Gardiners Rd., seven days a week during mall operating hours.
Print the Transit Card Registration form and submit it in person for faster service.
Depending on which pass option you are getting, you may also need to bring:
- Proof of age for a senior (65+) or youth (15 to 24) rate.
- Your Municipal Fee Assistance Program card with expiry date for an Affordable Transit Pass.
Lost or stolen passes
If your registered reloadable transit pass was lost or stolen, report it to us right away at 613-546-0000. We will deactivate your old pass and transfer your balance to a new one. You can get your new card at City Hall Payment Centre or Cataraqui Centre Guest Services Desk.
A $3 replacement card fee applies.
